The OLPHAAB has several positions open and is seeking volunteers to support the athletic programs offered to Our Lady and other parishes in our community. Available positions include:
- K-3 Athletic Commissioner
- 4-6 Boys Athletic Commissioner
- 7-8 Girls Athletic Commissioner
- Communications Liaison
- Concessions and Awards Coordinator
- Fundraising Coordinator

The OLPHAAB is responsible for providing athletic programs in which our Parish children can participate and provide opportunities to build traits such as dignity, self-discipline, respect, cooperation, teamwork and honesty. The Board consists of 12 members serving two-year terms in various capacities to administer all athletic programs for the parish in addition to the Columbus Diocesan Recreation Association programs. Candidates are interviewed and voted on by the Board. All members are expected to participate in monthly meetings and support programs offered.
Brief descriptions of the open positions are noted below.
The K-3 Athletic Commissioner and Boys Grade School and Girls Middle School Athletic Commissioners are responsible for the overall administration of their respective boys or girls programs, including selection, training and supervision of coaches for the programs offered, monitoring and enforcing volunteer requirements for coaches in accordance with Diocese of Columbus and OLPHAAB, oversight of the use of the gym and fields and that coaches maintain such facilities, ensuring equipment, materials, procedures and security are in place, conducting sign-ups and completing forms as required by the OLPHAAB and Diocesan Recreation Association.
The Concessions and Awards Coordinator maintains inventory for indoor and outdoor concession areas during the school year, coordinates awards for end of season awards and supports any other OLPHAAB Activities.
The Communications Liaison prepares and communicates with the parents, faculty and other parish organizations regarding the athletic programs, coordinates and distributes sign-ups for the parish, PSR and other schools and partner with the school and Church to schedule the use of facilities.
The Fundraising Coordinator assists the Athletic Director with the coordination and implementation of all fundraising activities of the OLPHAAB, including coordinating and maintaining sponsor lists, soliciting new sponsors, working with the Communications Liaison to communicate fundraising events and recruiting volunteers to help staff the fundraising events.
