Western Irish Flag Football Registration

The Western Irish Football Program is made up of students from the local Catholic schools that feed into Bishop Ready, or PSR students in good standings at those parishes. The Youth Flag Football league consists of grades K-3 where the children are split into mixed teams that play each other. The flag football league allows the children to learn some of the basics of football and to meet some of the children from other schools that they eventually might play tackle football with in the future. 

Who is eligible: Boys entering grades K – 3 in the fall of 2019 who attend one of the schools who participate in the Western Irish Football Program. PSR students in good standing from one of those parishes are also eligible and encouraged to participate.

General Info:The Flag Football program consists of two parts:
  1. The Camp – To be held July 31st- August 2nd. The camp is drill-oriented with conditioning, instruction, and fun in mind and is put on by the coaches of the league.
  2. The League – Practice starts the week after camp and runs into October with teams playing approximately 8 games. Practices are held once a week and games are held once a week on Saturday mornings - mainly at St. Cecilia, but also sometimes at OLPH.
Children can participate in the camp only, the league only, or preferably both.

Western Irish Flag Football Cheerleading Registration

The Western Irish Flag Football program also includes cheerleading for students entering grades K-3 during the fall of 2019 who are enrolled in one of the local Catholic schools or a PSR student in good standing at those parishes.

K-3 Soccer Registration is Now Open!

This sport is open to all students in grades Kindergarten through Third during the 2019-2020 school year of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Cecilia, St. Mary Magdalene and Trinity schools and PSR students for all parishes that are associated with these schools. All grades will play on co-ed teams divided between K-1st Grade and 2nd-3rd Grade players.

Important Dates:

  • Camp is scheduled for Sunday, August 19 at Our Lady. Times will be communicated.
  • Practices can begin the week of August 26. Coaches will contact the parents regarding practice days and times. Please note on the registration form if there are day(s) you cannot attend.
  • Games will be held between September 7 and October 26 with a banquet following each game on October 26.

 Fees are $50 per player and include a shirt and banquet.

4th – 8th Grade Boys and Girls Cross Country Registration Opn

This sport is open to all athletes attending a Bishop Ready feeder school or PSR program. PSR students that have a public school team may only run for their public school or Our Lady. 

 We will field teams for boys and girls. Grades 4th - 6th can group together and grades 6th - 8th can group together; 6th grade can go to either division. The 4th - 6th grade will run 1 mile in competition and 6th - 8th grade will run two miles in competition. 

Important Dates:

  • Practice will start in mid-July and be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Coaches will contact players to let them know when practice starts.
  • Uniform sizing will take place when practices begin.
  • The Diocesan schedule will be finalized in August. Additional meets will be held on August 31, September 21, September 28 and October 5.

Participant fee: $70.00 for one runner, $130.00 for two runners and $190.00 for three runners.

Registration and payment of fees are available online and are due July 19, 2019.

Boys and Girls 4th through 8th Grade Volleyball Registration Open

These sports are open to all Our Lady School and Our Lady PSR students that are in grades four through eight during the 2019-2020 school year. PSR students that have a public school team may only play for their public school or Our Lady.

The Diocese offers volleyball to boys as well as girls in the 4th through 8th grade. While Bishop Ready and Southwestern City Schools high schools do not have Boys Volleyball programs, St. Charles does and members of the Our Lady Parish have competed for the Cardinals!

Diocesan Boys Volleyball coincides with the Girls Volleyball season in the Fall, which is different than the Ohio High School timing. Ohio High School Boys Volleyball is contested in the Spring, the same time as Lacrosse, Track & Field, Baseball and Boys Tennis. While Our Lady and our neighboring Parishes have not recently fielded a Boys team, there are a few schools within the 270 Outerbelt that field teams on a regular basis. Travel for practices would be to those host programs, similar to most travel sports, and matches are contested at St. Charles High School.

  • Evaluations for 7th and 8th grade participants will take place the week prior to the beginning of the Diocesan season. Details of tryouts will be communicated out directly to 7th and 8th grade athletes that have signed up and through Parish-approved Social Media Channels.
  • Coaches will contact players to let them know when practice starts.
  • Matches begin Saturday, September 14th or Sunday, September 15th. Schedules will not be handed out until the week of September 9th.

Participant fee: $80.00 for one player, $145.00 for two players and $215.00 for three players.

Registration and payment of fees are available online and are due July 12, 2019.

4th through 8th Grade Boys and Girls Soccer Registration Now Open!

This sport is open to all Our Lady School and Our Lady PSR students that are in grades four through eight during the 2019-2020 school year. PSR students that have a public school team may only play for their public school or Our Lady.

  • Practice will start the week of July 9th. Coaches will contact players to let them know when practice starts. All teams may not start practice on the same date.
  • Uniform sizing will take place in early July.
  • Matches start the beginning of August. Schedules will not be handed out until late July.
  • Postseason tournament during the first weekend of September.

Participant fee: $85.00 for one player, $150.00 for two players and $220.00 for three players.

Registration and payment of fees are available online and due July 1, 2019.
